Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan, roughly the size of Western Europe, is the ninth largest country in the world, and the largest that is land-locked. It straddles Asia and Europe with the Caspian Sea to the west, Russia to the north, China to the east and Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan to the south. It is in Central Asia, and is it’s not an extension of Eastern Europe; this is an important consideration when you are looking at the country as a new market and trying to get hold of market information. It is 5 time zones ahead of the UK in the summer, 6 in winter.
