Licensed product retail sales are an increasingly important aspect of the UK gift industry and are worth an estimated $120 billion worldwide. The leather goods industry is worth some £800 million, and offers a comprehensive range of products in the global marketplace, whilst Britain's 1,500-plus jewellery manufacturers are responding to increased demand in many of its diverse product areas, with gold accounting for a significant proportion of UK jewellery exports.
