Colombia - Opening of a Bidding Process for Concession Contracts for Six Airports

The Colombian Government has recently opened a bidding process for the concession contracts relating to six airports located in the Northwest Region of the country.

The Colombian Government has recently opened a bidding process for the concession contracts for six airports located in the Northwest Region of the country:

  • Camilo Daza in Cucuta,

  • Palonegro in Bucaramanga,

  • Yariguies in Barrancabermeja,

  • Alfonso Lopez in Valledupar,

  • Simon Bolivar in Santa Marta

  • Almirante Padilla in Riohacha.

The contracts relate to management of the airports and to modernisation of facilities at some of the sites.

It is estimated that the project will be worth around US$55m.

The closing date for bids is 28 June 2010 at 3:00pm (Colombian time). The selected bidder will be announced by 11:00am on 26 July of this year.
