Stockport business breaks into the Middle East

A Stockport-based company, which has its origins in Lille, France, and still bears the name of its founder, Henry Neu, has won £500,000-worth of new export orders in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Iraq with support from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and funding support from The Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).

DELTA NEU, an expert in the field of air technologies, dust control and filtration systems, has traded successfully in Spain, Tunisia, Vietnam and China, but needed assistance to understand the complexities of Export Documentation Procedures and letters of credit in the Middle East. Their UKTI International Trade Adviser, Tony Brown, helped negotiate their credits and advised on techniques to maximise their cash flow on the projects.

Peter Dowell, Managing Director, and Justin Rose, Company Accountant, participated in one of Tony’s workshops which enabled them to ensure they got everything right first time – critical for ensuring full and prompt payments.

Now it is “full steam ahead” for DELTA NEU in the Middle East, where the company has installed air ventilation and cooling systems and is removing scrap from the manufacturing processes in beverage can manufacturing plants, for centralisation and recycling.

Peter says:

“UKTI’s training and support has significantly reduced the financial risk in respect of contract payments and it has enabled us to produce a ‘best practice’ model for the business.
