Sweden
Sweden shares the Scandinavian peninsula with its Norwegian neighbour. The country is 1.5 times the size of Britain, but due to the sparsely populated north there is only 9.4 million inhabitants. The country joined the EU in 1994, but has decided to stay outside the euro-zone.
Sweden is by far the largest market in the Nordic region. It is also the largest recipient of foreign direct investments and imports from the UK in the region.
