Prestigious UK Award to Trinidad & Tobago Company

The Caribbean Distributor of The Year Award was recently presented to A.A. Laquis Limited, sole Trinidad & Tobago distributor for the UK company Wisdom Toothbrushes.

The British High Commissioner, HE Eric Jenkinson CVO OBE, recently presented The Caribbean Distributor of The Year Award to A.A. Laquis Limited.

The award was in recognition of the company’s sustained and significant sales growth in this country throughout the last 12 months. These outstanding results were the outcome of a long period of promotional activity by A.A. Laquis which created wider distribution and public awareness of the quality and value of Wisdom’s extensive range of toothbrushes and dental accessories.

The British High Commissioner congratulated A.A. Laquis Limited on a job well done and highlighted the difference between distributors who simply “stock and sell” and those that add significant value to the brands represented. Wisdom Marketing Consultant responsible for Regional Sales, Mr. Alec Stewart, of FFPS (Caribbean) indicated that through hard work and a disciplined and aggressive approach to distributing the Wisdom Brand, A.A. Laquis was able to make Trinidad & Tobago one of Wisdom’s fastest growing international markets.

Accepting the Award on behalf of A.A. Laquis was Ms. Michelle Placide, Brand Manager. Also present at the award ceremony were Ms. Natalie Dookie, Head, Trade & Investment, and Mr. James Dolan, Press & Public Affairs at the British High Commission, as well as A.A. Laquis’s Managing Director, Mr. Anthony Laquis. Mr. Jenkinson expressed his pleasure at being invited to present this award, and highlighted how the partnership between A.A. Laquis and Wisdom typified the traditional close trade and investment relations between Britain and Trinidad & Tobago. The High Commissioner warmly congratulated and thanked A.A. Laquis on the company’s commitment to this long-established UK manufacturer.
