Global Infrastructure

Introducing the Global Infrastructure team

UK Trade and Investment’s Global Infrastructure and Cross Sector Projects team focuses on delivering initiatives, showcasing UK excellence in infrastructure, promoting UK strengths and capability and raising awareness of commercial opportunities in the infrastructure sector available to UK business internationally. Working with a wide range of partners, we focus on business opportunities which cut across different infrastructure sectors and aim to connect UK businesses to these major infrastructure opportunities globally and help position them to win business and get involved.

Through our programme of activities, we aim to:

  • Provide UK companies with information into global infrastructure opportunities which span sectors such as construction, mass transport, environment, water, global sports projects, finance/PPP and energy.

  • Help put your company in front of key international decision makers, influencers, policy makers, buyers and investors to learn more about these opportunities.

  • Deliver a comprehensive, accessible route to international opportunities, engaging UK business across the infrastructure value chain in the UK.

  • Inspire you and your company to grasp international opportunities through our programme of activities – seminars, inward missions, outward missions, events, presence at major exhibitions, specialist presentations, online events, business one-to-ones and clinics.

  • Profile the UK’s world-class sustainable infrastructure capability and expertise and highlight how UK companies are at the forefront of the global transition to a low carbon, resource efficient economy to international buyers and decision makers.

Infrastructure primarily covers:

  • Construction including roads; bridges; tunnels; dams; architecture; residential; industrial commercial buildings; green and intelligent buildings; regeneration; building products and services;

  • Mass Transport covering railways, ports and airports;

  • Environment and water including air pollution control, land contamination, waste to energy, waste management, water and waste water, environmental. monitoring and consultancy;
