King’s Cross station

The transformation of King's Cross station by John McAslan + Partners represents a compelling piece of place-making for London, delivering an internationally significant transport interchange, fit for the 21st century and beyond.

The heart of the development is the Western Concourse – Europe’s largest single-span station structure – which provides an architectural gateway to the King’s Cross Central mixed-use development to the north, creates a coherent ground-plan for passenger movements through the station and connects to the eastern entrance of St Pancras International, as well as with London Underground, Thameslink, taxis and buses. It will also act as an extension to the new King’s Cross Square immediately to the south of the station.
