Precise progress

Award winning manufacturer Ford Aerospace has made the most of UKTI’s support to win new business in China.

South Shields based Ford Aerospace manufactures precision engineered products for the aerospace, automotive, power generation, construction equipment and defence markets. The two family-owned companies, Ford Aerospace Ltd and Ford Component Manufacturing Ltd, are currently celebrating 100 years in manufacturing.

Ford joined UKTI's Passport to Export programme to aid their overseas expansion plan. Subsequent research with the help of UKTI resulted in a decision to focus on China.
