UK business expertise continues to enjoy strong demand across the Middle East, particularly at a grass roots level where establishing bespoke training programmes at centres such as the Dekwaneh Technical School has helped cultivate unique ties between the UK and foreign business communities.
Since it was first established in 1997, Tyro has provided accredited bespoke business training courses for domestic and foreign clients, working alongside businesses to address specific organisational needs.
David Llewellyn, Tyro’s director of international projects, said the company is currently in the process of forging links with partners in Egypt, Dubai, Nigeria, the Baltic states and China as the demand for first-class training and consultancy services grows.
Mr Llewellyn added that the experience gained during the Beirut partnership would provide a blueprint for working with other clients across the world.
“The successful partnership which we have developed has given us a great insight into working at a distance and with a different culture and has opened up much wider possibilities for further work,” he said.
The first batch of students to complete the Tyro course in Beirut graduated in the presence of the British ambassador to the Lebanon, Frances Guy, and Sobhi Abi Chahine, representing the Lebanese Minister of Education.
