From the outset, Firstsource had ambitions to take its business global. In 2002, the company expanded to the US and in 2006 started operations in Northern Ireland. When it began to look for locations for new contact centres in the UK, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) put a call out to its regional partners across the UK, inviting them to respond with relevant local information within two weeks.
Firstsource’s new contact centre in Middlesbrough was officially opened in December 2011. Then, in June 2012, the company took over a 600-strong staff from another BPO provider in Cardiff, relocating them to a brand new contact centre, with state-of-the-art facilities.
