Omega Diagnostics has developed a good relationship with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), commissioning Overseas Market Introduction Service (OMIS) reports for several export projects in recent years. In February 2011, as part of an Indian OMIS, UKTI organised gala evening receptions in Mumbai and Delhi that served to promote Omega Diagnostics’ food diagnostics kit, the ‘Food Detective’.
The two events were well-attended by experts and leaders from each city’s wellness and healthcare sectors, and generated significant interest. In October 2011, Omega Diagnostics Group incorporated an Indian subsidiary, and opened a small office in Mumbai.
“The launch of our ‘Food Detective’ kit was an important step in establishing a stronger Indian presence,” says Jag Grewal, Group Global Sales and Marketing Director at Omega Diagnostics Group Plc. “We knew we had to reach the right people and UKTI helped us to draw attention to our new product in an effective and enjoyable way.”
