Short Term Business Attachment Scheme (STBA)
The STBA (Short Term Business Attachment Scheme) scheme provides an opportunity for companies to second business experts to UKTI’s overseas commercial posts for a period of 3 to 6 months to undertake specialist projects. The focus of the project is flexible to suit the needs of the market and sector they are engaged in.
The STBA scheme has proven success in developing opportunities overseas for UK companies and in strengthening UKTI’s partnership with business. Secondees bring real value to the work of UKTI, not least in providing additional resource and expertise to develop areas of opportunity that may otherwise be unexploited.

For the seconding company it is an opportunity to develop a network of high quality contacts in a new or existing market and to gain an in-depth understanding of how that market and the government’s commercial operation works. This can in time lead to new or improved business for the company.
