Weeks In Business programme
We believe that time spent outside the normal working environment, even as little as one or two days, can make a huge difference to an individual’s perception of how other organisations operate.
Benefits of initiative
When our staff work outside the civil service they develop an understanding of the pressures faced by the private sector.
Knowledge and skills are enhanced which ultimately helps us to have more productive relationships with our clients.
For staff who already have private sector experience, Weeks In Business provide the opportunity to update their knowledge of sectors and working practices.
The scheme also provides the host organisation with the chance to work more closely with government and learn more about UK Trade & Investment and our services.
