LifeCell is India’s first & largest umbilical cord stem cell bank. LifeCell facilitates the cryogenic preservation of stem cells in technological collaboration with Cryo-Cell International Inc, USA - the world’s largest and oldest stem cell bank with more than 16 years of expertise in stem cell banking.

Company is currently looking to license technologies for commercialisation in India. Key Technologies that they are actively seeking to partner with is in the area of “Production of Recombinant Proteins / Biologics using Stem Cell Lines as Expression Systems”. Obvious commercial target is the large market for recombinant proteins, wherein the key drawback today is the use of Coli and other mammalian expression systems widely used today, which are not preferred for various reasons.

Companies such as Humanzyme in US are pioneering such new approaches and we would be happy to work with teams who have similar approaches in the UK.
