Key Clusters in the Northwest
Envirolink Northwest
Funded by the Northwest Regional Development Agency, Envirolink Northwest, (EN), exists to act as a catalyst for raising the competitiveness and profile of the North West environmental sector.
Envirolink Northwest is the energy and environmental technologies and services (ETS) sector development organisation in England's Northwest.
Food Northwest
Food Northwest, funded by the North West Development Agency, aims to create wealth, jobs and opportunities through innovation and collaboration, working with the supply chain and manufacturing and building the image of the industry.
Northwest Textile Network (NWtexnet)
Working in partnership with NWDA, NWtexnet supports the advanced flexible material sector (technical textiles) in the NW region.
NWtexnet works with over 400 companies in the region, covering all aspects of technical textiles. Over 70% of the production from the NW is exported so as the sector support organisation we work very closely with UKTI offices and over the world.
Northwest Automotive Alliance
Funded by the Northwest Regional Development Agency, the North West Automotive Alliance, (NAA), exists to act as a catalyst for raising the competitiveness and profile of the North West automotive sector. NAA aims through funded programmes to support the development of World Class standards of excellence in Manufacture, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Innovation and Workforce Skills for the Automotive Industry.
Northwest Aerospace Alliance
Working closely alongside the Northwest Regional Development Agency and UKTI the North West Aerospace Alliance exists to act as a catalyst for raising the competitiveness and profile of the North West aerospace sector.
As an advanced cluster management organization the NWAA reaches some 750 companies throughout the country and has an active membership of over 300.
Chemicals Northwest
Working closely alongside the Northwest Regional Development Agency and UKTI, Chemicals Northwest exists to act as a catalyst for raising the competitiveness and profile of the chemical using industries of the North West. As an advanced cluster management organisation Chemicals Northwest reaches some 500 core chemical companies throughout the region plus a large proportion of downstream and support companies and has an active membership of over 120
Biomedical cluster development (Bionow), Northwest RDA
Located within the Northwest Regional Development Agency and working closely with UKTI, Bionow is the biomedical cluster development organisation within the Northwest Regional Development Agency and works amongst other things, to provide a fully integrated bio/pharmaceutical company support structure for the Northwest region.

Working closely alongside the North West Regional Development Agency and UKTI, both pro-manchester and professionaliverpool play a crucial role in raising the competitiveness and profile of the sector in the North West.
Northwest Digital and Creative Industries
Funded by the The Northwest Regional Development Agency & the UK Film Council Northwest Vision and Media (NWV&M) works on behalf of the digital and creative industries in the Northwest to grow a world-class digital and creative economy within the region.
Northwest Vision and Media aims to be the single organisation to lead, support and promote the creative and digital industries in the region.
